STOCKHOLM (Reuters) - Dozens of Swedish firefighters were working on Monday to stop a blaze sweeping through a forest south of Stockholm, with rescue teams unable to search for an elderly man missing in the area. Police said the fire in Tyresta National Park, 30 km (18 miles) south of the capital, had so far destroyed a two square km wooded area and would take two days to put out. „It‘s still burning and 70 firemen with helicopters are working. It‘s been very dry and there is a possibility that people have been grilling (having barbecues) which is prohibited in the forest,“ police inspector Lilian Langborg told Reuters. A dog had been found in the area and its owner, a 79-year-old man, had been missing for several days, he said. „Now we can‘t look for him in the area because it‘s burning,“ Langborg said. Firefighters on Sunday extinguished another fire, also south of Stockholm, which destroyed a one by 1.5 kilometre stretch of woodland. Police were seeking to question three Russian diplomats who were spotted leaving the area in a canoe after the fire had started. They had been barbecueing in the woods, police said.
