Altanor was carrying 60 divers, boatmen and crew members when it sank early on Monday near the port city of Puerto Cabezas, about 270 miles (450 km) northeast of Managua, Defence Minister Pedro Joaquin Chamorro told Reuters. The U.S. fishing boat Gulf King picked up six survivors on Tuesday and another 10 people made it to shore on their own, Chamorro said. "Chances (of survival) are good because the men on board have experience in the high seas," he said.
