LONDON (Reuters) - More than 300 passengers and crew were stranded aboard a paddle steamer in England‘s southwest Bristol Channel overnight after it broke down, BBC television reported on Monday. It quoted coastguards as saying there was no danger and eveyone on board was calm. The coastguards were arranging for vessel, the Waverley, to be towed to harbour, the BBC said. It said the giant paddle at the rear of the ship had apparently stopped working.
