HONG KONG (Reuters) - A Hong Kong man who accepted a free haircut got more than he bargained for when the stylist snipped off part of his right ear, the South China Morning Post reported on Wednesday. Ng Koon-man was left bleeding profusely at a Hong Kong hair salon in February 1996 after the stylist cut off a slice of his ear measuring 1.4 cm, the newspaper said. Ng has sued for damages, accusing the stylist of "negligently performing a haircut at a speed which was excessive in the circumstances" and failing "to take adequate precautions when applying the scissors to ensure his ear would not be harmed", it quoted the court writ as saying.
