LONDON (Reuters) - British rock star Liam Gallagher has settled out of court with the fan he allegedly headbutted, the Sun newspaper said on Wednesday. It said the deal was believed to be worth around 60,000 pounds ($100,000). The paper quoted Peter Gellatly, who has been representing 21-year old Ben Jones, as saying: "Ben is satisfied with the outcome and believes that the settlement is fair." Last month, Jones dropped assault charges against the Oasis lead singer. But Gallagher still faced a civil action for his alleged assault on the British backpacker after the fan took photographs outside the band`s hotel in the Australian city of Brisbane four months ago. Oasis had earlier created havoc on their flight into Australia when they abused passengers and airline staff and smoked on the flight. Hong Kong-based Cathay Pacific Airways in March banned Gallagher and his band because of their behaviour.
