Older and less educated respondents showed more trust in STV and SRo. In contrast, more educated and younger people trust TV Markiza more. Trust in these three media has a strong political undertone. While the supporters of the ruling coalition, especially the ruling HZDS, believe STV, backers of the current opposition, chiefly supporters of the SDK, do not trust the state-run television. The political polarization is less marked regarding the Slovak Radio, which is believed by the majority of respondents regardless their political background (except supporters of Hungarian parties). However, the ruling coalitions backers showed more trust in the Slovak Radio than opposition supporters did.
