BRATISLAVA (SITA) - About 1,500 people gathered at the European Family Festival on Saturday at the Pasienky Sports Hall in Bratislava, usual place for the HZDS rallies. The Family Federation for World Peace but also top representatives of the Church of Unification Slovakia showed up among the organizers, STV editor Michal Glonda responsible for public relation at the festival told SITA. The fact that also the Church of Unification`s people attended the event proved Catholic Bishop Andrej Imrich allegation that Muns Sect hides behind the Family Federation for World Peace. Many countries believe that Muns sect is destructive on the psychics of its members. The Saturday festival saw another mass wedding after which the Muns sect has become famous all over the world. The organizers revealed that 250 couples got married at Pasienky but several independent observers came up with about 150 couples. Reverend Mun selected the most of the couples in person from the countries all over the world that were of mixed nationality while a big portion of newly-weds was from Poland. Bad weather caused that some couples missed the ceremony. The wedding took place through a screen that inter-linked 12 world cities, with a central in New York Madison Square Garden. About 360 million of couples took a marriage vow. The Family Festival in Bratislava did no escape some incidents. About 45 minutes before the beginning a group of young people carrying a banner noticing that Muns Sect organizes the event gathered in front of Pasienky. The group featured editors of Zmena journal that has recently published a story revealing that the Federation is in fact Muns sect and a challenge to boycott the event. A threatening phone call announced to NOVÝ ČAS at 4.45 p.m. that a bomb with Muns supporters will blast at Pasienky. The organizers labeled the dead threat as a sabotage. The police that reached the place shortly before 5 p.m. did not close the hall. The commander of the police action rejected any information for the press. The organizers assured the police that no bomb could be there because the hall has been guarded since Friday evening. They did not inform the present about the bomb threat.
