Center for HIV/AIDS Prevention provided this information at a press conference about the second annual educational program "Drugs - AIDS - No." The program for students at high schools in Bratislava deals with the prevention of HIV/AIDS and drug addiction. The program was prepared in line with the National Program of the Fight against Drugs, and since September 1996, 8,713 students have attended 115 lectures. The National Reference Center for HIV/AIDS Prevention says that of 500,000 pregnant women who underwent examination, only one was HIV positive. The oldest HIV positive Slovak citizen is a 74- year old bisexual man. Of the 16 patients with AIDS, 13 are men mainly with a homosexual orientation.
