BRATISLAVA (SITA) - A meeting called "Against Fascism, for Democracy" will be held in Bratislava on Saturday, 4:00 p. m. at the Main Square. The Party of the Democratic Left (SDL), the Young Democratic-Left (MDL), the Slovak Union for Peace and Human Rights, the Slovak Association of Anti-Fascist Fighters, the Club of Bratislava Anti-fascists, and the Free Alternative are the organizers of the third anti-fascist meeting, MDL President Milan Istvan said at a press conference in Bratislava. He said that SDL vice chair Brigita Schmögnerová also will show up at the meeting. The meeting organizers claim it is so shocking that even after alarms and warnings from the EU that there are still several forms of nationalism and neo-fascism bolstered by the Slovak Government. Istvan pointed out last year's visit of extremist Front Nationale chief Jean--Maria Le Pen, who came here at the invitation of the Slovak National Party. "Whoever meets a neo-fascist is a neo-fascist himself," he claimed.
