BRATISLAVA (SITA) -- "During Febiofest '98 record 295 movies will be screened. Together with Czech movies that will be screened only in Slovakia, spectators will see 306 movies within the festival. When comparing with the film festival in Karlove Vary it is more by 250 movies," Fero Fenič, director of the festival of the last trends in movies, television and video, told a press conference in Bratislava on Tuesday. According to him, prominent film director Francesko Rosi will attend the Czech part of the festival in Prague. The Slovak part of Febiofest will take place between February 10 and 20 in Bratislava, Banská Bystrica, Žilina, Nitra and Prešov. Besides others the three-part cycle "The Best from Febio" will be screened in Bratislava's cinema Mladosť within the festival. Fenič further pinpointed new Czech movies "Dead Beetle" and "The Bed" that will be screened for the first time during the festival. As Fenič went on to say, the costs of the festival will be equal to the costs of Mia Farrow's appearance of Karlove Vary Festival. The organizers expect that record 100,000 visitors will attend the festival this year.
