and anti-tank missiles were fired at their force while it was on operations near an Israeli position in the eastern sector of the zone. It said Israeli forces returned fire. The radio said the two soldiers were wounded when their tank was hit by Hizbollah guerrilla fire. An army spokeswoman said she would check the report. Guerrillas, most prominently the pro-Iranian Hizbollah (Party of God), are fighting to oust Israeli troops and their local militia allies from the 15-km (nine mile) wide south Lebanon occupation zone. It says the zone is necessary to protect northern Israeli communities from guerrilla attack.
