WARSAW (Reuters) - About 300 trucks blocked the Polish-Slovakian border at the town of Chyzne on Wednesday in protest by drivers against slow clearance by Slovak customs, private Polish television TAN reported. "It seems that the Slovaks couldn't care less about clearing us," a Polish truck driver told TAN news. PAP news agency reported earlier that truckers from Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Russia, Ukraine and Lithuania had urged officials on both sides of the border to speed up clearance. The truckers also demanded adequate sanitary facilities at the crossing and said customs officials must stop being rude, PAP said. The drivers said they would blockade roads on the Polish side of the border until their demands were met. Public television news said traffic was being diverted to a nearby crossing at Lysa Polana.
