LOS ANGELES – A top Stanford University heart surgeon who bought three Las Vegas strip clubs to further medical science has agreed to sell them after months of bad publicity, his lawyer said.
Simon Stertzer purchased the Satin Saddle and Lacy‘s topless clubs and the all-nude Palomino Club to generate funds for research at Stanford, attorney Marc Nicoletti said, but was no longer willing to put up with snide remarks in the press to raise money for the future of medicine.
„Simon went into the transaction with the purpose of buying a really great piece of land,“ Nicoletti said. „It just so happened that on the land there were these strip clubs and it became more hassle than he wanted to deal with.“ Nicoletti said. „It‘s not like ‘X‘ dollars out of every lap dance goes toward research. The girls don‘t run around with little cans asking for donations.“
