A Singapore girl has emerged as one of the youngest children to join Mensa, the international society for smart people, after her parents kept her genius from the public eye for four years. Celestine Chua, now seven years old, became a member of Mensa when she was just three. She took a standardised test adjusted for her age which had a maximum IQ score of 158. Her results went off the scale. „She is about as young as any member I‘ve ever heard of and it‘s rare to have members so young. She is one of a select group,“ Edward Vincent, executive director of London– based Mensa International, told Reuters. A fan of Enid Blyton‘s books and an avid painter, Celestine told the Straits Times newspaper she aspires to be a teacher. „But that is not definite. I am too young to decide now,“ she said. REUTERS
