LONDON (Reuters) - Pop icon David Bowie is hoping to be the first performer to sing in the new millennium when he takes the stage in New Zealand, close to where the first dawn of the new century will break. Bowie, 51, will write a song for a New Year concert in Gisborne, on New Zealand‘s North Island, the Times newspaper reported. The arena has capacity for 35,000 people and tickets will cost between 133 and 199 pounds ($220 to $325), making it one of the most expensive pop concerts ever, the paper said.
