LONDON (Reuters) - Former Beatle Paul McCartney will make his debut as a celebrity cook this week, in a one-man variety show presented live on the Internet. The pop icon said he would prepare a favourite dish as part of his hour-long show on Thursday, when he will also show music videos, films and photographs and chat to fans around the world. "It‘s the first time I‘ve ever done anything like this and I‘m getting a little bit nervous," McCartney said in a statement. "But it‘s an exciting new idea for me and I‘ll give it my best shot." McCartney did not reveal what he would cook on the show, at 1900 GMT on http://webevents.broadcast.com/mccartney/, except to say it would be from a cookery book by his late wife, Linda. Linda, a photographer who launched a second career as an animal rights activist and vegetarian entrepreneur, died at the family ranch in Arizona last April after losing a three-year battle against cancer. McCartney said he would autograph a copy of her solo album, "Wide Prairie", for every person whose question he answered on the show. The grieving husband, who enjoyed what was widely recognised as one of the closest marriages in show business, has spent the last few months putting the finishing touches to the album.
