N.‘s International Police Task Force (IPTF), said a device of a type which could not be identified was planted inside the church. It blew out a wall and broke all the windows. He said no one has claimed responsibility for the blast and an investigation by the IPTF and local police was under way. Father Ivo Bozic, the parish priest at the St Peter and Paul Church, demanded that Croat policemen be involved in the investigation because of anxiety among the Croats living in the Moslem-controlled town. Bosnian Croats are predominantly of the Roman Catholic faith. There has been tension between Bosnian Croat and Bosnian Moslem communitiess in central Bosnia ever since the 1992-1995 Bosnian conflict, during which both ethnic groups fought a bitter 10-month war.
