BRATISLAVA (SITA) - Renown French actress Annie Girardot will attend the Art Film festival in Trencianske Teplice where she is to accept an award destined for world film celebrities for the special contribution they made to the film arts. The film event in the spa town is to open its gates on June 19 and will last seven days, festival director Vladimir Stritz announced. Geraldine Chaplin, daughter of the biggest star of the silent film era Englishman Charlie Chaplin, will be the head of the festival jury. The jury will also feature prominent Czech cameraman Miroslav Ondříček and Slovak actor Milan Lasica. Four films were chosen to represent Slovak cinematography at the event, two of them in the Artifacts category and the another two in the On the Way category. The novelty at the festival will be the Czech Oscar Night. All Czech holders of the American Film Academy award promised to come, except Miloš Forman, director of the renown "One Flew Over the Cuckoo`s Nest" who is preparing for his next film.
