NEW YORK -(Reuters) The city that has it all may soon have a Museum of Sex. A New York City entrepreneur is raising money to support a permanent, high-brow exhibit on sex and sexuality. Businessman Daniel Gluck said on Friday he co-founded the project with curator Alison Maddex, best known for her phallic-art exhibitions. "The exhibits are by no means pornographic," Gluck said. "We`re definitely taking the high road when it comes to discussing the subject of sex and sexuality. Anything from sex and religion, sex and politics, sex and philosophy, sex and science, sex and war and sex and health. We want to run the whole gamut of understanding culture through sex," Gluck said. He said he was in talks about four possible locations in Manhattan with the goal of opening "MoSex" by the fall. Gluck said the museum would be much like many of New York`s famous museums with multimedia displays, video, artifacts and poster exhibits. "MoSex" would be a non-profit institution but could potentially enter the merchandising market once it was established, he said. "One of the ideas is perhaps to work with other museums to obtain artifacts like ancient Greek pottery that has to do with the subject of sexuality in that era," Gluck said. "There are plenty of artifacts that a lot of museums don`t feel comfortable displaying because of their risque nature. We hope to create a framework for that sort of subject matter in an appropriate setting."
