AMSTERDAM -(Reuters) Police in the Dutch city of Utrecht said on Friday they had launched a hunt for a gang that stole around 100 gnomes from a private garden. Police said the gnomes measured between 10 cm and one metre in height and weighed up to 50 kg apiece. "The theft occurred during the night of Thursday to Friday. The gnomes were in the garden of a flat," the police said. The search for the gnomes, made of concrete and stone and dressed in various costumes, had failed to yield any clues, police added. Nor was there any sign of a getaway vehicle.
