have been informed. As SITA news agency learned from a source close to the Foreign Affairs Ministry, several Slovak ambassadors phoned on Tuesday afternoon to find out whether their name is on the list of 28 ambassadors to be replaced according to the Cabinet decision. However, the ministry has no such list. Spokesman for the Slovak Cabinet told SITA on Wednesday that the list of ambassadors who would be gradually recalled between April 1 and September 15, is confidential, and the stated reasons are ôforeign political interests of the Slovak Republic. The Cabinet decided to dismiss 28 ambassadors on Tuesday. Foreign Affairs Ministry spokesman called the decision an absolutely normal thing. "This is not an expression of dissatisfaction," he told SITA. The reason why the number is so high is the attitude of Ex-president Michal Kovac to replacements of ambassadors, the ministry spokesman said. Slovakia is currently represented on embassy level in 59 countries, whereby up to this month, 38 ambassadors served at Slovak embassies abroad, and four at permanent missions at international organizations.
